The Volkswagen Golf, which was once the most popular vehicle in Europe, is on the verge of dropping out of the top 10, but its replacement is ably defending the title.
The top models on these rankings for the past 10 years have mostly remained the same, with a few minor variations; however, over the past three years, the automobile industry has seen a transformation.
Here is a list of the top ten selling models in Europe as of July (August has not yet been tallied). The models are listed from number ten to number one.
Kia Sportage
Yes, you read it correctly. The Hyundai Bayon, an SUV that is not the cheapest, is one of the ten best-selling vehicles in Europe.
The new Sportage is selling in large quantities; last year, it was ranked 37th (based on statistics for the entire 2021), but this year, it is in the top 10. More than 80,000 units have already been sold as of 2022.
Opel Corsa
We’re not impressed. Many individuals like to keep an Opel Corsa in their garage because it is a well-liked car and is now available in an electric version. It’s interesting to note that the Corsa B has had five different body designs; the present generation has one, and the following generation won’t have any because it won’t be manufactured. Sales reached 14,000 units in July, bringing the year’s total of sales to 102,000.
Volkswagen Golf
The leader has slipped to ninth place, or may this only be a temporary occurrence? Or is this outcome the result of consumers wanting to try other models from Volkswagen in addition to the Golf, which there are many of available? That is, 103,200 units have been sold thus far this year.
Hyundai Tucson
Two South Korean SUVs are already among the 10 best-selling vehicles in Europe. 91 thousand units have been sold in the first seven months of this year.
Fiat 500
Let’s talk about the phenomenon of the little urban car, which has been selling well recently since it has a great appearance and works well in cities with plenty of automobiles. The Fiat 500 was sold in 93 thousand units this year.
Dacia Duster
The Dacia Duster was one of the top five selling vehicles in Europe in July. Total sales of 14,920 units, or 88,000 units since the year’s beginning, have been made.
Toyota Yaris
Sales of the Yaris are brisk. Given that it is a very decent car, you can drive it around town and on long trips.
This year saw 91 thousand units sold of the vehicle, although because of the more alluring Yaris Cross’s entry into the market, this is thought to be a modest decline.
Peugeot 208
The only Peugeot but one of the top three cars on the list. This item has currently sold more than 120,000 pieces this year, making it the only one on the list.
Despite dropping to third place in July, it is clear that this year it will also be able to claim the top spot due to the excellent sales in France.
Dacia Sandero
Aside from the low cost, Sandero still has its advantages. It is a 1 liter TCe engine automobile that appears like it should cost a lot of money but is really accessible on the market with an automatic transmission.
Such vehicles have so far sold 113,000 units, which is fewer than the Peugeot 208 sold this year and in July.
Volkswagen T-Roc
The Golf has been replaced, but its replacement tops the list in Europe. The Volkswagen T-Roc has sold 105,000 units since the start of the year, so it is obvious that it is the market leader in the crossover category. T-sales Rocut’s grew to 19,130 units in July.
