By 2027, Audi will introduce an all-electric A3 vehicle. At the company’s recent annual press conference in Ingolstadt, Audi CEO Markus Duesmann made this announcement. Using quick charging technology, the A3 e-tron will serve as the entry-level model beneath the Q4 e-tron.
Targeted range of 700 kilometers
The A3 e-tron is constructed on Audi’s brand-new SSP platform, which was created specifically for the development of electric vehicles and provides more powerful charging and quicker charging periods than Volkswagen’s MEB system.
The electric A3 should have a 700-kilometer range.
Audi will offer further electric models in addition to the A3 e-tron. Audi has stated that starting in 2026, solely electric vehicles will be available for purchase. By 2033, the business wants to have electrified every vehicle in its fleet. Performance and design will be emphasized in order to persuade customers to use electric vehicles and to further solidify Audi’s market position. By 2025, at least 30 percent of Audi sales should be generated with electrified vehicles.
