Posted on March 8, 2022March 8, 2022 By Alessia

Honda has introduced to the audience their decision to produce the first electric model, in which will also participate even Sony with it’s standards.

Vision-S, concepted by Sony was unexpected and came up as a surprise to the technology and electronics fair  which were held in 2020 in Las Vegas.  Sonny this year announced the concept of electric SUV Vision-S 02 and basically they introduced itself to the world of electric cars.

Two months after Sony announced that their strategic partner Honda, with whom they will develop and and manufacture the electric car, managed also to give a name to this collaboration. They decided to call it “New Company”.

As is said the work should start before the year ends, and if everything goes according to plan, serial production of the electric model, buyers will be launched for buyers in early 2025.

But the further details are still unknown for the audience. For example we yet don’t know if the serial production will be based on the two Sony prototype concepts that were introduced in Las Vegas, but the only known fact is that it will be produced in Honda factories.

Sony has previously unveiled two Magna Steyr concept models, the ZF, Continental and Qualcom, which are powered by two electric motors that in combination produce over 540 horsepower, enough for the Vision-S to reach speeds of 0-100 kilometers per hour for 4.8 seconds. Its maximum speed is limited to 240 kilometers per hour.
