A Honda VFR750R RC30 built in 1990, which had never been registered, set a record in British auctions on 14 May 2022.
This motorbike was purchased fresh from the manufacturer by several private collectors, it was never registered, and just the number two shows on the odometer, indicating that it has only ridden two kilometers in 32 years.
It was sold for around 10,000 euros when it was first made, and if inflation is included in, the current worth is close to 25,000 euros.
Many would argue that this is not the genuine price, but the price at which this unique motorbike was sold was, 65,250 funta – or 77,000 euros.
This unusual motorbike was transferred from Japan to Italy, where it remained until 2017 as part of the David Silver Honda Collection.
The motorbike was sold in good condition, and the auction’s lucky winner will also receive the original tool bag that came with the motorcycle when it was acquired in 1990, as well as all of the original paperwork.
